Marjorie Jane Tarvid RIP

Marjorie passed away Sunday, February 10th, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina.

She died after a long struggle with osteoporosis - seven vertebrae repairs, a pelvic fracture, fracture of the humerus (upper arm), a femoral head fracture and a second femoral shaft fracture where the hip replacement joined the femur.

Family

Installed the Drupal Module "family" tonight. It may grow up to be something but right now the version I installed lacks the links to Father, Mother and Children that would make it useful. The demo site http://famhist.shawspace.com/ suggests they work.

Moved to Dellwood, WI at age 4.

Lived in a log house.

Attended a one-room school.

Fumbled around the University of Wisconsin System

Started radio career at 15, later TV, then RCA, WNJU-TV, WABC and finally football games for CBS.

Entered computer field in 1968 at Time Sharing Systems at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Moved to Burroughs Corporation as a "Management Scientist" (whatever that is). Many years as a numerical advocate in international health. Last 12 years as Internet engineer.

Rational Humanist Intuitionist Christian Buddhist (whatever that means).
